Issue/Introduction

Reviewing the number of COMMIT statements in Detector for Db2 for z/OS (PDT) and Subsystem Analyzer for Db2 for z/OS (PSA) 
for same Interval Summary. The number of COMMIT statements in Detector is slightly higher.

Resolution

Detector and Subsystem Analyzer aggregation of COMMIT statements differs in the kind of COMMIT statement they collect.

Subsystem Analyzer includes COMMIT statements by TSO, CAF, CICS and COMMIT statements from Db2 Utilities.
Depending on the DB2 Utilities, some times Subsystem Analyzer may have higher number of COMMIT statements in the Interval Summary compared to Detector.

Detector COMMIT statements are collected for the SQL statements and for the programs and plans within which the SQL is executed. New changes were made to COMMIT
logic in Detector to address the problem where some of the CICS COMMIT statements were ignored, after the fix, more COMMIT counts are now shown by Detector.
This change may have given the impression that Detector now shows higher number of COMMIT statements than Subsystem Analyzer.

The COMMIT statements on Detector and Subsystem Analyzer varies depending on the SQL statements executed and the type of COMMIT statements
done by DB2. The two products vary with the type of COMMIT statements they collect.
