Issue/Introduction

How can we enable AdminUI RestAPI traces to get more information for the errors we are getting?

Environment

AdminUI R12.8.x

Resolution

To enable smrestservices.log traces, Edit the following properties in the smrestservices-logging.properties file:
- Edit smrestservices-logging.properties (under <AdminUI_path>/standalone/configuration
- Set the following logger settings level from "error" to "trace" or "debug":
logger.restapi.name=com.ca.siteminder.restapi
logger.restapi.level = error
...
logger.restservlet.name=com.ca.siteminder.sdk.restservlet
logger.restservlet.level = error
...
logger.securityservice.name=com.ca.siteminder.securityservice
logger.securityservice.level = error
...
- Save the changes and restart the AdminUI services for the changes to take effect
