The Benefit Plan Details are not showing up in FIN_FINANCIALS table

FIN_FINANCIALS table holds data for Cost plan and Budget Plan but it is NOT showing the cost for Benefit Plan details table in the below columns

PLANNED_BEN_TOTAL
PLANNED_BEN_START
PLANNED_BEN_FINISH

The Benefit Plan details shows data in the FIN_FINANCIALS table only if the Benefit Plan is tagged to a Cost Plan. 
A benefit plan created and left as it is without attaching to a Cost Plan, will not populate the cost in the fin_financials table. 

Below is the query used to pull the benefit plan details of a project. 
 

SELECT inv.NAME INVESTMENT_NAME, fin.PLANNED_BEN_TOTAL,fin.PLANNED_BEN_START,fin.PLANNED_BEN_FINISH
FROM FIN_FINANCIALS fin , INV_INVESTMENTS inv, ODF_OBJECT_INSTANCE_MAPPING odf
WHERE odf.PRIMARY_OBJECT_INSTANCE_ID = inv.ID 
AND odf.SECONDARY_OBJECT_INSTANCE_ID = fin.ID
AND PRIMARY_OBJECT_INSTANCE_CODE = 'project'
AND SECONDARY_OBJECT_INSTANCE_CODE = 'financials'
AND inv.id = 5XXXXXX -- investment internal ID
