the url_response probe can be installed locally on the system where the web server is installed and monitored locally.
It can also be installed on a remote machine.

What is the best practice for installing the url_response probe to properly monitor a web site connectivity and response times?

UIM 9.0 and earlier
url_response probe 4.43 and earlier

For internal URL's it is suggest to to install the url_response probe on the local hub machine.
This will then do remote monitoring to the web url checking the communication in the same way that a client would that  would be in the same network.

When the URL are public facing it is suggested that the URL_response probe be installed on a remote robot that is accessing the web sites in the same manor that the clients will be.
