There's a problem with this website's security certificate

CA Privileged Access Manager - Cloakware Password Authority (PA) PAM SAFENET LUNA HSM CA Privileged Access Manager (PAM)


Customer is getting following warning message when connecting to PAM GUI.
"There's a problem with this website's security certificate". 
Customer would like to get rid of this error message.


This is common certificate issue.
Following are common reasons you will get certificate errors.

1. Certificate is not trusted (not stored in the Trusted Certificate Store)
2. CN Value of Certificate does not match the FQHN of the Web Server address.
3. Certificate has expired.
4. SubjectAlternateName attribute does not exist in the certificate or it does not match the FQHN of the Web Server address.



ALL PAM Versions


The certificate was not trusted.
Customer can either import the certificate as trusted or import the Issuer Certificate(CA Certificate) into Trusted Certificate Authority store.
And customer can use GPO to push this certificate to all AD domain joined servers and workstations.
After importing the certificate, the certificate error is resolved.
