Issue/Introduction

Since linux/unix agent and Service Manager version 12 we're encountering a strange behaviour with ServiceManager logging.
Each jobstart and filetransfer creates a special log-entry in ucybsmgr.log within Service Manager log directory.

For example:
StringCopy - --------------------------------------------------------------------------
StringCopy - FileName : 'shared-c/zulogg.c' StringCopy - Line : '1776'
StringCopy - RecvSize : '76'
StringCopy - SendText : '20180601/115339.261 - U02000007 Connection to Agent 'GF0VSXDB25' terminated.'
StringCopy - SendSize : '76' StringCopy - --------------------------------------------------------------------------
StringCopy - FileName : 'shared-c/zulogg.c'
StringCopy - Line : '1776'
StringCopy - RecvSize : '80'
StringCopy - SendText : '20180601/115339.262 - U02000230 FT '473480317': Thread '00007FFB64DE1700' ended.'
StringCopy - SendSize : '80'
StringCopy - --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Environment

Release:
Component: AAUTEN

Resolution

The log you see is just some unnecessary information, it's not error message. As it not our Service Manager log, so it can't be rotate. Please follow our standard way to start your Service Manager to get rid of it.

The proper way to start the ServiceManager:
nohup ./ucybsmgr [-iPath and Name of the INI file] Phrase > /dev/null 2>&1 &

This is the proper way to start the service manager and it will "ignore" the output and don't use a log file for the messages on stdout and stderr. Every needed logging information then written according to the log/trace settings (and filename) of the service in the .ini file for the ServiceManager. "
