How can the current 500 page Jasper Reports Page limit be increased?

Resolution

This should be done in a test environment prior to implementing in Production. The current limit of 500 is to limit performance issues and proceeding with this may increase those performance issues. Please implement this with caution.

Depending on your Jasper version, the following steps may differ slightly: 

1. Locate the file <Jaspersoft Tomcat>\webapps\reportservice\WEB-INF\classes\jasperreports.properties 

2. Locate the following entry in the file for Governor Max Pages:

net.sf.jasperreports.governor.max.pages=500 
3. Adjust the value to the required limit, Save and restart Jaspersoft
