Issue/Introduction

Is it possible to recover or reset the password to the Harvest Administrator (harvest) user account if it is lost?

Environment

CA Harvest SCM all versions and platforms.

Resolution

Recovery of existing passwords stored in the Harvest database or in encrypted password files is not possible or supported.  Once encrypted, this data cannot be decrypted for purposes of viewing the content later.  

If you need assistance resetting the Harvest Administrator password via SQL, please contact support.  Such activity should be conducted with Support assistance.
