How to change the favicon on the User Console in on-premise environment?

Environment

Identity Manager 14.x standalone environment.

Resolution

Replace the favicon.ico in the following locations. Take a backup of existing one, and copy a new one with the same name.

\deployments\iam_im.ear\user_console.war\ui\images
\deployments\iam_im.ear\redirect.war\images
\deployments\iam_im.ear\manage_redirect.war\images
\jboss-eap-6.4\welcome-content

- Sometimes the change may not be reflected due to the browser still caching up the earlier favicon.ico. Therefore in such scenarios test the change by clearing the browser cache or by using a different browser.
- Internet explorer obtains favicon.ico from a different process, so it does not send an authorized cookie and does not remember temporary accepted self-certificate for HTTPS connection. Therefore, it does not display favicon for HTTPS connection using self-certificate and favicon located under a directory which requires authentication.
