When installing CA 7, there is a need to increase LXX space allocation.
Customer installing CA 7 on Development would like to increase LXX allocations.
Resolution
In order to increase the LXX allocation follow these steps:
Stop the applications that are using the Multi-User Facility (called MUF).
Run a final DBUTLTY SPILL.
Shut down the MUF using the /F mufjobname,EOJ or /P mufjobname command, to have the MUF shuts down normally and without error.
Allocate a new LXX at the desired size, using ISPF 3.2 or your own JCL. Be sure to use the same name as the existing file.
Use the DBUTLTY INIT function to initialize the new LXX. Refer to Datacom/AD INSTJCL(AD15LXXI) or STEP1I in Datacom/DB INSTJCL(BDNEW01). Note that if you are increasing the TASKS MUF Startup Option, you may need to also increase the size of the FXX and INIT with a higher TASKS= value.
Once the job completes with CC zero, start the MUF as usual.
