How To Back Up WAAE Environment for Disaster Recovery

Issue/Introduction

Due to unforeseen events, there are times when your Autosys, WCC and/or EEM servers are impacted in a way that the application(s) are no longer functional (i.e. server crashes, viruses, etc). When these things happen, you must do a full re-installation of the application(s). Instead of having to rebuild/repopulate/reconfigure your applications, you can restore them from backups. 

Environment

CA Workload Automation AE, CA Workload Control Center, CA Embedded Entitlements Manager

Resolution

Use the document provided below to back up the Autosys, WCC and/or EEM applications(attached).

 

If desired, you can schedule Autosys jobs to automatically create these backups for you. This would allow you to add date/timestamps to your backup files so you know when they were created.
