Issue/Introduction

GT Data Maker connectivity error : unable to connect SQL Server SQLState: '08001' .   From our DBA, he istructed the following:

TLS1.0 or TLS1.2 is disable on all MCTest Server and upgrade to TLS 1.2 ( MC compliance).  Install Native Client 11.0

Initially ODBC error was there, but that was resolved by upgrading new SQL Server client version. Now ODBC connection is successfully but still GT data maker give error SQLState: '08001'.  How can we reolve this issue?

Cause

Looking at the logs, it was looking for SQL Server Client 10.0 even though it was configured for 11 - Datamaker defaults to 10 and will use it if the driver exists on the system.

Environment

TDM 4.5
MS SQL Server 12

Resolution

Installed New SQL Server Client 11 but GT Datamaker was using Old version 10 which comes with CA Product.  To resolve this issue, uninstalled old SQL Server Client 10.0 ( comes default with CA Product).
