Using the CCITCP region with Datacom Server for CCI connections

Issue/Introduction

In order to use Datacom server with CCI connections, the CCI task/region needed is CCITCP.

Is this needed in all LPARs?

Resolution

• CCITCP needs to be installed on every mainframe image that Datacom server will be used on.
• CCITCPGW will connect all those mainframes. CCITCPGW is the railroad tracks between LPARs.

So, YES you need to have CCITCP region installed in the LPARs where you will use Datacom Server.
