Issue/Introduction
In the Proxy Installation Guide it says that I have to create an SSL Certificate because SSL encryption is required for the connections between Client and Server Proxy. In the example shown, a certificate is created which is valid for 365 days.
Questions are now:
What happens when the certificate expires? Will the connection be closed down (and the Agents will be disconnected from the AE as a result of this) or will there 'only' be created some error/warning messages.
Must I provide a validity period?
Environment
Release: Component: AAUTEN
Resolution
Question 1: When the certificate expire, the connection will not be down at all. Agent/Job will not be interrupted. Question 2: Best practice is to use a valid period, normally it should be 1 or 2 years.
You still can use an expired certificate to use AE proxy but it is not recommended.
