Issue/Introduction

LDAPSRV task on our production system abended w/ DUMP TITLE=TSS9999E CA-TSS SECURITY SVC ABEND S878 IN TSSRSVCS+ E45C. I was able to restart the task successfully.

Environment

CA LDAP Server r15.1. Operating System: z/OS 2.2. CA Top Secret f16.

Cause

The dump shows that both sp1 and sp2 key 8 are exhausted due to a TSS LIS(ACIDS) DATA(BASIC) made by LDAP.. All the storage above and below the line has been exhausted. The TSS LIS(ACIDS) DATA(BASIC) might have been entered several times.

Resolution

Limit the output further in the TSS LIST(ACIDS) ... command request by specifying TYPE(USER) or other TYPE(xxx) where 'xxx' is the acid TYPE desired.
