Issue/Introduction

A user is not logging successful data set access to the Audit Tracking File while another user does get audit entries for successful access.

Environment

Release:
Component: TSSMVS

Cause

LOG(ACCESS) Control Option is required to log successful access and this option was not set.

Resolution

The LOG(ACCESS) Control Option is required to log successful access and this option was not set.

The user which had audit entries for successful data set access had the bypass attributes NODSNCHK and NORESCHK.

Access to a a data set through these bypass attributes will always cause an audit record  to be cut for successful access.

The audit entry for successful access granted due to a bypass attribute will show as 'OK+B .

The audit event for successful access granted by a PERMIT will have 'OK'.
