BC1TNEQU: FUNCEQU: VALIDATE?

Issue/Introduction

Looking at the BC1TNEQU Table differences between V18 and current releases, what happened to the VALIDATE options under FUNCEQU?

A test assembly failed - VALIDATE is no longer supported.
** ASMA254I *** MNOTE ***            82+     8,ACTION VALUE "VALIDATE" IS NOT SUPPORTED.   
                                     84+*,  PARAMETER IGNORED.  

Since we have ESI rules defined for this actions, please explain the change.

Cause

This is the result of applying PTF SO00864 -

Title: MENUAUTH IN BC1TNEQU SHOULD NOT INCLUDE VALIDATE ACTION

Resolution

Remove the VALIDATE action from the BC1TNEQU FUNCEQU C1ACTNS table entry.

Reassemble and link the BC1TNEQU table.

 

You do not need to modify any of the RACF/ACF2/ Top Secret rules.
