How to download CA DADS Plus for CICS fixes from the CA WEB site.

Issue/Introduction

The client is upgrading to CTS 5.2 and needs to download CA DADS Plus fixes-PTFS for CTS 5.2 from the CA web site. The fixes are located at the DOWNLOAD ENTER - PUBLISHED SOLUTIONS.

All the CA DADS Plus for CICS r 4.0 fixes are located on the CA web site SUPPORT.CA.COM. Once you sign on to the web site you select the 

DOWNLOAD CENTER then PUBLISHED SOLUTION 

Below the first BLUE GO BUTTON 

You will see the literal Quick search 

Under that a BOX labeled 

Search by fix/patch number 

Put RO70937 in the box and click GO 

When the fix appears you will need to LEFT click on the TITLE labeled

After Left clicking the solution will open up and you will see a detail description of the fix, instructions for uploading - applying the fix and the requirement to RELINK the DADS Plus SVC. 

You will need to PRINT out these instructions since they DO NOT get downloaded with the fix.

Next the back arrow to exit the instructions and next LEFT click on the DOWNLOAD button on the right hand side of the screen. 

On the next screen DOWNLOAD METHOD screen you have THREE OPTIONS. 

You can use the first option HTTP via Download Manager to save the fixes on your desk top or 

Left click on the SECOND option VIEW FILE LINKS under the HTTP via Internet Browser option. 

Two files will appear RO70937.XMIT and RO70937 .TXT. Next RIGHT CLICK on each file and use the SAVE LINK AS option to save each file on your desktop.

Next you use the instructions you printed off to file transfer the fixes you saved on your desk top to the mainframe. 

You can use this  same method if you need any other  CA DADS Plus for CICS fixes.
