Versioning of an Endevor element

Issue/Introduction

An element in production has version 100 (initial version) to 126.   Retrieved the 126th version from production, modified with some changes and added to development region. It is there with new version 127 but it is not showing the 100 to 125 versions in development. It is showing only 126 and newly 127 version..

How can I figure out the problem and what could be the reason?

Resolution

That is the way Endevor has always worked. 

Retrieved an element with VVLL 0114, made a change and Added it back.
All the old lines have 0114 while the new line has 0115:
