Issue/Introduction

CCITCP/CCISSL and SMF TYPE 119

You have recently incorporated using CCISSL. You have been running CCITCP (default port 1202) for some time. If anyone is connecting using the CCITCP task, would that show up in SMF type 119 records? You are trying to find out if CCISSL is even being used.

Environment

Z/OS

Resolution

CCITCP or CCISSL does not control the creation of SMF 119 records. TCPIP itself generates those based on network activity.
